BRITTEN'S WAR REQUIEM
Rehearsal and performances of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem are this week! The rehearsal on April 23 and the performance on April 26 are in Grinnell. Transportation will be provided for singers on both dates. The Sunday afternoon performance is in Des Moines at Hoover High School Gym. The uniform for the rehearsal on April 23 is white HYC polo with bottoms of choice. The concerts require formal uniforms. Both concerts are FREE!
CANDY BARS
We have opened candy bar sales to all HYC singers. If you are touring, you may either check out candy bars as you have done, or you may purchase them outright. You may purchase a box of 40 bars for $20, sell each bar for $1, and have a $20 profit to use however you wish! If you are not touring, we ask that you purchase boxes outright since we will not be seeing you weekly after WorldSongs. Then you do not have to worry about returning money or unsold bars to the office.
AWARDS NIGHT
Awards Night is Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary of Faith Lutheran Church. Awards Night is an informal evening when we get to recognize all of our singers and recall the highlights of the year. Each singer receives a trophy. The higher your choir level and the longer you are with the program, the taller the trophy! You don't need to bring anything except your family. It is a fun evening, so don't miss it!
TOUR PAYMENTS AND TUITION PAYMENTS
Your next tour payment of $145 was due on April 15. Remember to make all payments on time so that we can make our payments and deposits on time! Your tuition must be paid in full prior to WorldSongs, and your tour must be paid in full by May 15.
